Information You Should Know

About Dee's Newsletter!

For eight years Prime Time Productions, Inc., (PTP) a 501(c)3 non-profit Corporation, has been broadcasting twice daily information and education, direct to Baby Boomers, their parents and caregivers. PTP television programming has been underwritten by Time Warner Cable television, which allows us to test our audience for senior programming on Channel 14 daily.

I am convinced there is a real need for 50+ programming in Texas. So, for the coming year, I want to vary our broadcast a bit, by going a step further - Texas wide - where all aging Texans may benefit from our "National Award-winning programming for the maturing population." Instead of trying to just cover Dallas/Fort Worth's aging population of 2 million, we can actually impact 5.2 million Texans, and their families by broadcasting statewide with Primetime Programming.

We believe that we are the only media of our kind on the air for seniors, their families and caregivers. We are way out in front of those who may eventually wake up to the reality that you are a special segment of the population who has needs of your own that should be shared through the media.

Which brings me to the favor I want to ask of you!

I want to make sure of the demand - or the lack of demand - before we sink too much more time or money into programming for the 50+ population, their families and caregivers. So, I have come to you as a viewer of television programming in the house or listeners of radio in your cars or homes.

Would you consider how this programming might help you and your family make decisions on aging issues, like caregiving for instance, if you should receive regularly, information and education to help you, through television or radio?

And then would you write to me?

Your benefits to consider:
  1. You now have an advocate for senior causes, "I am the media with a voice " for maturing adults, their families and caregivers.
  2. I interview the very best experts on aging subjects, thereby helping to educate you, so that you can be better informed as you make decisions for you and your loved ones for a better quality of life as you age.
  3. Issues that will enhance the ability to age well, and as you become aware of the aging issues, how to adopt positive lifestyles, and identifying the resources that will help you and your loved ones live independent, meaningful and productive lives.
  4. A few examples:
    • In-home companion assistance,
    • Nutrition;
    • Transportation;
    • Referrals;
    • Benefits counseling;
    • Legal assistance;
    • Doctor home care coordination;
    • Nursing home up-dates;
    • How to reach visiting nurses;
    • Volunteer services;
    • Health maintenance
    • And much, much more.
  5. Excellent and thorough research by one of your own peers, who by the way is also living the changes maturing brings, and can relate to where you are in life.

Naturally I won't be able to reach everyone who might view or listen to senior programming, I hope that you will consider helping me accomplish this awesome task though. Your assistance would be of great value to me if I could get it NOW! In exchange, I will send you my first Newsletter FREE!

Won't you also consider helping our fund-raising campaign today, with a donation if you can, (even $5.00) and put it in the mail? Any contribution is tax-deductible! On second thought, better mail it right away with your comments too - while you have it in your hand - so there is no chance you will forget it. Millions of aging Texans and I are counting on you!
