By Dee Taylor I REMEMBER… The handsome young man who captured my heart when I was just I REMEMBER… The twinkle in his eyes when he smiled down at me and, I REMEMBER… Each time he entered the room, I REMEMBER… As he would take me in his strong arms, I REMEMBER… Our intense love for each other. And when in our 20's, I REMEMBER… The roller coaster ride of my young life began, I REMEMBER… 25 years later, my youth fleeting, I REMEMBER… How I watched hopelessly as the ride was over, I REMEMBERED…. and I paused and I thought... FOREVER I WILL REMEMBER… Now that he is truly free, and I WILL REMEMBER… and I hope you will remember too!

Taylor, Dee A Tribute To Young Love
I wrote this poem out of the pain I felt in my heart for my children in memory of my ex-husband, who was murdered in 2003. Written out of my own anguish of how to help them, I wanted them to know that even though their dad and I had been divorced since 1984, they were conceived out of a young love that would always be alive and be remembered as I looked at them. In memory of Danny Dale Sorrels, Dee Taylor is producer, writer and host of senior media for television and radio in Dallas, Texas. She speaks publicly on senior issues and writes for senior publications and the DFW Community Newspapers with her own column. She started writing when her children began to grow up. She has written and self-published two books and is presently doing research on third book.
